The Utility-45 is a rugged work light, upgraded in 2018 to provide even greater visibility, with higher intensity and improved light spread, facilitating safer and more productive working environments. The 50 lux line, defined by the HSE as the effective level of illumination when working outdoors at night, is achieved at a distance of 10m, with a 74° beam spread. Combined with design features to maximise functionality and reliability, this is a product you can rely on to deliver exceptional performance, every time, whatever the application. Continuous improvement and adoption of the latest and most efficient LED technology means that the Utility series sets itself apart from other work light solutions. 4 high-density LEDs deliver 4,560 gross lumens, which are harnessed through ultra-reflective, vacuum-metallised optics, designed and manufactured in the UK using advanced CAD design and light simulation software. The result - more light distributed over a larger surface area, and LEDs carefully selected for their colour temperature, proven to maximise definition, whilst reducing the fatigue and strain that can arise from using wider colour gamuts. The consistently high level of luminous flux is maintained by an innovative CAE optimised 'Matrix' cooling system; the increased surface area ensures more efficient dissipation of the heat generated during lamp operation. This process allows for maximum luminous flux for a longer period of time, while the electronic thermal management system optimises luminous flux taking into account the ambient and thermal conditions of the lamp. In addition to its lighting performance, the Utility series is a product built to last and withstand the harshest environments. The hard-coated polycarbonate lens is now bonded to ensure watertightness and, in line with the full 5-year warranty*, the lamps have been extensively tested to meet EU regulations for resistance to vibration, shock and corrosion, and in addition to an extremely robust construction, the advanced electronic design ensures full EMC protection to CISPR-25 (Class 3) standards. Supplied with male/female Deutsch connectors (part code DT06-2S/DT04-2P), the Utility-45 is available with either a ‘Wide’ or ‘Slim’ mounting bracket. Lamps with additional cable protection are available where installation is on trucks that need to comply with ADR regulations. * - The 5-year warranty applies for fleet and commercial use, all other applications are covered by a 2-year warranty period.
