1. General framework
This policy describes the conditions for returning products purchased from www.edk.ro and for refunding the amounts paid, in accordance with Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance (GEO) no. 34/2014 on consumer rights (transposing Directive 2011/83/EU) and GEO no. 140/2021 on the guarantee of conformity (transposing Directive (EU) 2019/771). This policy forms an integral part of the Site’s Terms and Conditions and applies together with them.

This withdrawal policy applies exclusively to Consumers - natural persons acting for purposes outside their professional activity. For legal-entity clients, the return conditions are those set out in Chapter 8 below.
2. Right of withdrawal - 14 days
You have the right to withdraw from the contract, without giving any reason and without penalty, within 14 calendar days from the date on which you (or a third party designated by you, other than the courier) take physical possession of the product. If an order includes several products delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last product.
You may also withdraw from the contract before delivery, after placing the order, under the same conditions.
3. How to return a product - step by step
Step 1 - Notification. Send, before the expiry of the 14-day period, an unequivocal withdrawal statement to contact@edk.ro (recommended) or by post to the return address. Merely shipping the parcel back, without prior notification, does not constitute a valid exercise of the right of withdrawal.

Step 2 - Confirmation. We confirm receipt of your request and send you the return instructions within a maximum of 2 business days.
Step 3 - Shipping the product. Return the product within a maximum of 14 days from the date of notification, to: Str. Duiliu Marcu no. 50, Cisnădie, Sibiu County, 555300, Romania. We recommend packing the product in its original packaging, with all accessories, fastening elements, instructions and documents received, and using a courier service with proof of delivery.
Step 4 - Verification and refund. After receiving the product, we verify its condition and issue the refund in accordance with Chapter 5.
4. Return costs
The direct costs of returning the products are borne by the consumer.
Please pay attention in the case of bulky or heavy products (hardtops, bull bars, roller covers, side steps, racks, etc.): these cannot be returned via standard postal services and require dedicated or palletised transport, the cost of which - potentially significant - is borne entirely by the consumer. Upon request, we can provide an indicative cost for such transport.
5. Refunds
- We refund all amounts received, including the cost of the initial standard delivery (but not the difference for a delivery method more expensive than the standard one, if you chose it), within 14 calendar days from the date we are informed of the withdrawal.
- We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned product or until you have supplied proof of its dispatch, whichever is earlier.
- The refund is made via the same payment method used for the purchase (card, bank transfer, settlement with the financing partner for instalment payments), unless you expressly agree to another method; the refund does not generate any fees for you.
6. Diminished value of returned products
You are entitled to handle and inspect the product as you would in a physical shop - to unpack it, examine it, and check compatibility by positioning it, without actually fitting it.
You are liable for any diminished value of the product resulting from handling beyond this limit. The diminution is deducted from the refunded amount, in proportion to the depreciation found, and may extend up to the full value of the product where it can no longer be resold as new. Examples of situations leading to a diminution of value:
- the product has been fitted on the vehicle, drilled, cut or adjusted;
- it shows scratches, signs of use, tool marks or weather exposure;
- the original packaging of products whose commercial value depends on it has been destroyed;
- accessories, fastening elements, relays, wiring, instructions, certificates or labels are missing.
7. Products that CANNOT be returned (statutory exceptions)
In accordance with Art. 16 of GEO no. 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
a) Customised products - made to your specifications or clearly personalised: products painted in your vehicle’s colour code, products configured by you (options, equipment, dimensions, finishes) and manufactured or assembled by the producer on the basis of that configuration, products adjusted, cut, drilled or adapted at your request. The customised nature is indicated on the product page and/or communicated before the order is confirmed.
b) Sealed products which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and which have been unsealed after delivery.
c) The other situations expressly provided for in Art. 16 of GEO no. 34/2014.
Note on made-to-order products: products which are not in EDK’s stock and are procured specifically for your order, from Romania or abroad, are paid in full in advance and benefit from the statutory right of withdrawal under this policy - with the consumer bearing in full the return costs (including dedicated/palletised transport, where applicable) and with the diminished-value rules applying. Please treat such orders responsibly: check compatibility with your vehicle before ordering - our team provides this check free of charge.
8. Returns for legal-entity clients (B2B)
The 14-day right of withdrawal provided by GEO no. 34/2014 does not apply to legal entities or to persons purchasing for professional purposes. For these clients:
- the return of stock products is accepted only with EDK’s prior written consent, with the products in their original packaging, unfitted and showing no signs of use;
- EDK may apply a restocking fee of up to 15% of the value of the returned products;
- customised products and made-to-order products are non-returnable;
- observations regarding the quantity or apparent condition of the products must be communicated in writing within a maximum of 2 business days from receipt.
9. Defective, non-conforming or transport-damaged products
This policy covers “no-reason” returns. Different situations are handled as follows, at no cost to the consumer where the lack of conformity is confirmed:
- Product damaged in transport: record the visible damage in the courier’s transport documents or in a report drawn up with the courier, photograph the parcel and the product, and notify us at contact@edk.ro within a maximum of 24 hours from delivery;
- Defective or non-conforming product (does not match the description, shows manufacturing defects): the legal guarantee of conformity applies (GEO no. 140/2021) - repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, in accordance with the Terms and Conditions (Chapter 9) and the Complaints Resolution Policy;
- Wrong product delivered: notify us immediately; the replacement and all transport costs are borne by EDK.
