IPF, Japanese Auxiliary Lighting
IPF is a Japanese lighting manufacturer with a long history in auxiliary driving lights, and it holds a particular place in Japanese 4x4 culture. The brand is fitted almost as standard on Land Cruisers, Jimnys and Delicas built in the Japanese overland style.
Optical engineering over raw output
IPF's approach has always been about beam quality rather than headline wattage. A driving lamp is only useful if the light goes where the driver needs to look, in a pattern that reveals the road without washing out the foreground or throwing glare back off fog and dust. IPF develops reflector and lens designs to control that distribution precisely.
The range
LED and halogen driving lamps, spot and flood beam patterns, LED light bars, fog lamps, work lights, headlight bulb upgrades and mounting hardware, in the round and rectangular formats associated with the Japanese 4x4 aesthetic.
Fitting legally in Europe
Auxiliary driving lamps must be ECE approved to be used on European roads, wired to switch off with the main beam, and mounted in symmetrical pairs. Check the approval marking on the housing before fitting.
