Rival 4x4, Aluminium Protection Engineered for Weight

Rival 4x4 specialises in underbody protection made from aluminium alloy rather than steel, and that material choice is the entire argument for the brand.

Why aluminium

A steel skid plate set for a mid size 4x4 can weigh 60 kilograms or more. All of that weight sits at the very front and very bottom of the vehicle, exactly where it hurts most: it eats payload, raises fuel consumption, worsens the weight distribution and puts permanent extra load on the front suspension. Rival uses 6 mm aluminium alloy, which delivers comparable impact protection at roughly half the weight.

Coverage

Rival produces engine, gearbox, transfer case, fuel tank, differential and steering protection, supplied as complete sets or individual plates, with service access openings positioned so oil changes and filter access do not require removal.

Beyond skid plates

The catalogue also includes winch bumpers, bull bars, rock sliders, roof racks, snorkels, suspension and recovery equipment, largely for European market 4x4 and pick-up platforms.

Fitment

Plates mount to existing chassis and subframe points with the supplied brackets, so no drilling or welding is needed.
