Green Valley, Italian Winter and Transport Equipment

Green Valley is an Italian manufacturer of snow chains, roof boxes, roof bars and carrying accessories, operating in a market where Alpine winter regulations set a demanding technical baseline.

Snow chains

The chain range spans several link thicknesses and tread patterns. Thinner links suit modern cars where the gap between tyre and strut is minimal, while heavier patterns give more bite for SUVs, vans and vehicles operating on unploughed roads. Diamond and ladder tread patterns behave differently: a diamond pattern gives more consistent lateral grip and a smoother ride, while a ladder pattern gives stronger traction straight ahead.

Roof boxes and bars

Green Valley produces roof boxes in a range of capacities with central locking and dual side opening, along with roof bars, ski and snowboard carriers, bike carriers and cargo baskets.

Choosing the right chain size

Chains are specified by tyre size, not vehicle model. Read the size off the tyre sidewall, and check your handbook for the minimum permitted link thickness. Fitting chains that are too thick for the clearance can damage the suspension, the brake lines and the bodywork.
