WildLand, Rooftop Tents and Overland Camping

WildLand produces rooftop tents, awnings and overland camping equipment. A rooftop tent changes how a vehicle can be used more than almost any other accessory, because it removes the requirement to find flat, dry, clear ground before you can stop for the night.

Hard shell and soft shell

The two formats suit different travel patterns. A hard shell tent opens in under a minute, closes just as fast, and has a rigid lid that protects the mattress and bedding permanently, which matters when you are moving camp every day. A soft shell fold out tent gives more internal floor area for the same closed footprint and usually costs less, at the price of a longer setup and a cover to wrestle with.

What to check

Three specifications matter. The closed weight, because it sits on your roof rack and counts against the vehicle's roof load limit, which is often only 75 to 100 kg. The dynamic roof load rating of your rack and vehicle, which is what applies while driving. And the mattress thickness and ventilation, which determine whether you actually sleep.

Awnings and accessories

The range also covers side and 270 degree awnings, annexes, ladders, mounting hardware and camping accessories.
