EFS, Australian 4x4 Suspension

EFS is an Australian manufacturer of 4x4 suspension and accessories, developed in a country where the standard test for a suspension component is a few thousand kilometres of corrugated dirt road with the vehicle fully loaded.

Suspension matched to load

EFS follows the Australian approach of specifying spring rates according to the accessory weight a vehicle actually carries, rather than selling one spring per model. A vehicle with a steel bull bar, a winch, a drawer system and long range tanks is carrying well over a hundred kilograms of permanent extra weight before anyone gets in, and a spring chosen for a standard vehicle will sit low and ride badly under that.

Damping

The range covers nitrogen gas and foam cell shocks. Foam cell construction replaces the gas charge with a microcellular foam sleeve, which prevents the oil aerating on long rough sections and keeps damping consistent where a conventional shock would fade.

Beyond suspension

EFS also produces snorkels, long range fuel tanks, air compressors, recovery equipment, bushings and steering dampers.
