AFN, Portuguese 4x4 Protection and Expedition Equipment

AFN is a Portuguese manufacturer of off-road protection and expedition equipment, producing in Europe for European market vehicles. That last point matters more than it sounds, because bumper mounting points, sensor positions, lighting requirements and chassis dimensions frequently differ between the European, Australian and American versions of what appears to be the same model.

Protection

The catalogue is strongest in protection: winch bumpers, front bars, rear bumpers with wheel carriers, rock sliders, underbody skid plate sets in steel and aluminium, differential guards and steering protection. Parts are cut, formed, welded and finished in house.

Expedition equipment

Beyond armour, AFN produces roof racks and expedition platforms, ladders, snorkels, roof tent mounting systems, drawer and storage solutions, and recovery points rated for actual recovery loads rather than tie down points that merely look substantial.
