SuperSprings, Load Support Without the Harsh Ride

SuperSprings makes suspension aids that increase a vehicle's load carrying stability without turning the empty vehicle into something unpleasant to drive. It is a problem every pick-up, van and tow vehicle owner eventually meets.

The SumoSprings principle

SumoSprings are progressive microcellular urethane springs that mount between the axle and the frame. Unlike an air bag they need no compressor, no lines and no maintenance, and unlike a helper leaf they engage progressively rather than all at once. When the vehicle is empty they barely act at all. As load increases they compress and their rate rises steeply, which is exactly the behaviour you want.

SuperSprings leaf helpers

The original SuperSprings product is a self adjusting helper leaf that mounts above the existing leaf pack on a shackle system, adding support that increases with load and reducing sway and squat when towing.

What it does and does not do

These products improve stability, reduce rear squat and control sway. They do not increase the vehicle's legal payload rating, which is set by the manufacturer and unaffected by suspension modifications.
