Wesem, Polish Vehicle Lighting

Wesem is a Polish manufacturer of vehicle lighting, producing lamps for cars, 4x4s, agricultural machinery, construction equipment and commercial vehicles. The agricultural and construction side matters, because lamps built to survive a tractor's working life will not be troubled by anything a road vehicle does.

The range

Wesem produces driving and fog lamps, LED work lights, rotating and LED beacons, position and marker lamps, rear combination lamps, interior lighting and the mounting hardware and wiring to install them.

Approval matters

Lamps intended for road use carry ECE homologation, which is what makes them legal to fit and use in Europe and what a Romanian technical inspection will look for. Work lamps and beacons follow their own standards and are not for road illumination.

Construction

Housings are sealed against water and dust ingress, with polycarbonate lenses that resist stone chips better than glass and materials specified for temperature cycling and vibration.

Choosing a driving lamp

Beam pattern matters more than wattage. A spot beam throws distance but narrowly, a flood beam lights the verges but not far ahead, and a combination of both is usually more useful than either alone.
