Keetec produces vehicle security systems and automotive electronics, covering alarms, immobilisers, central locking, parking sensors and remote control systems.

Alarm systems

A modern aftermarket alarm does considerably more than make noise. Shock and tilt sensors detect impact and jacking, which is how wheels and catalytic converters are taken. Interior movement sensors cover the cabin. CAN bus integration lets the alarm read the vehicle's own door, ignition and lighting signals rather than being spliced into wiring, which makes installation cleaner and much harder to defeat.

Immobilisers

An immobiliser interrupts the circuits needed to start and run the engine, and is the component that actually prevents a vehicle being driven away rather than simply announcing that someone is trying.

Parking sensors and cameras

Keetec also produces front and rear parking sensor kits and reversing cameras, which are genuinely useful on a pick-up or van where rear visibility is poor and the vehicle is longer than the driver's instinct expects.

Installation note

Security electronics interact with the vehicle's own systems, and poor installation causes battery drain and intermittent faults. Have it fitted properly.
