Air Design develops and manufactures exterior styling accessories for pick-up trucks and SUVs, working to original equipment standards. The company is best known for supplying accessory packages that are sold and fitted through vehicle manufacturer dealer networks, which is a level of validation very few styling brands reach.

What that standard means

Parts developed for dealer distribution have to survive the manufacturer's own testing: UV and weathering exposure, thermal cycling, adhesion and impact testing, and crucially they must not interfere with sensors, cameras, parking aids or crash structures. Air Design products are engineered against scanned vehicle data so panel gaps and body lines match the factory bodywork rather than approximately following it.

Finish

Parts are supplied in textured black, in primer ready for painting, or pre painted to the vehicle's factory colour code, so a package can be specified either as a contrast look or as a fully colour matched one.
