Tessera 4x4, Greek Engineering for Pick-Ups and SUVs

Founded in 1985 and based in Elefsina, just outside Athens, Tessera 4x4 designs and manufactures premium accessories for pick-up trucks and SUVs. It was the first Greek automotive company to hold international patents, and it still develops, tools and produces in house rather than rebadging generic parts sourced elsewhere.

The SOT-ROLL roller shutter range

Tessera is best known worldwide for its patented SOT-ROLL aluminium roller tonneau covers. The slat profile, the drainage system and the locking mechanism are all Tessera's own designs, protected by three international patents, and the range now ships to more than 40 countries across five continents. Alongside the roller covers, Tessera produces roll bars, sports bars, bed rails, load bed liners, side steps and complete styling packages for every major double cab platform.

Certified quality

Tessera 4x4 holds TÜV Austria certification and operates under ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Covers are tested for load bearing, water ingress, UV stability and repeated cycling before a model reaches production, which is why fleet operators and OEM partners across Europe specify them.

Applications are developed model by model for Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor, Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max, Volkswagen Amarok, Mitsubishi L200, Nissan Navara, SsangYong Musso, Jeep Gladiator and the Toyota Land Cruiser range, with variants for single cab, extra cab and double cab bodies.
