G2 Axle and Gear, Complete Axle Solutions

G2 Axle and Gear is an American manufacturer of differential gears, axle shafts and complete axle assemblies. The company covers the whole drivetrain problem, from a simple ring and pinion change through to a fully built axle delivered ready to bolt under the vehicle.

Ring and pinion sets

Regearing is not optional once tyre size goes up significantly. Larger tyres effectively lengthen the final drive ratio, which drops the engine out of its usable range, makes the gearbox hunt and increases fuel consumption. G2 gear sets are available in a wide spread of ratios, heat treated and lapped in matched pairs for quiet running.

Axle shafts and Core 44

G2 produces chromoly axle shaft kits with upgraded splines and better metallurgy than factory shafts, along with the Core 44 complete axle assembly, a fully built housing with gears, shafts, bearings and brakes ready to install. For a heavily modified vehicle this is often faster and more reliable than rebuilding a tired factory axle.

Install kits and covers

Master install kits include bearings, races, shims, crush sleeves, seals and setup hardware, so the job can be done properly rather than partially. Cast aluminium and nodular iron differential covers add oil capacity, cooling and impact protection.
