Skyjacker Suspensions, Fifty Years of Lift Engineering
Skyjacker Suspensions has been designing and manufacturing suspension lift systems in West Monroe, Louisiana since 1974, which makes it one of the oldest continuously operating lift kit companies in the world. Over five decades the brand has become a reference point for trucks that actually work for a living as well as for competition vehicles.
Engineering philosophy
Skyjacker's approach is to correct geometry rather than simply add height. Their kits include the drop brackets, control arms, track bars and steering correction components needed to keep the driveline angles, roll centre and steering geometry within a usable range after lift. This is what separates a truck that drives properly at 130 km/h from one that wanders.
Shocks and springs
The company manufactures its own damping, including the Black MAX twin tube, the Hydro shock and the M95 monotube series, plus nitro shocks and adjustable options. Coil springs and leaf packs are wound and set to Skyjacker's own rates rather than bought in, so a complete kit behaves as a designed system.
Coverage
Skyjacker builds for Jeep Wrangler TJ, JK, JL and Gladiator, Ford F-150 and Super Duty, Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500, Chevrolet and GMC half ton and three quarter ton trucks, and Toyota Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner.
