American Racing is one of the oldest wheel brands in the world, founded in 1956, and its designs are woven into the history of American car culture. Some of its patterns are so established that they have become shorthand for entire eras of car building.

The Torq Thrust

The Torq Thrust is the wheel the brand is defined by. Introduced in the late 1950s, its five spoke design was developed for racing, where it reduced weight and improved brake cooling, and it went on to become one of the most copied wheel designs ever made. A genuine Torq Thrust still looks correct on a muscle car in a way that nothing else does.
