Strands, Swedish Lighting Built for Northern Winters

Strands is a Swedish manufacturer of vehicle lighting, and its origins matter. Scandinavia has long, dark winters, wildlife on the roads and severe weather, which means auxiliary lighting there is safety equipment rather than styling. Strands products are developed against that standard.

The product range

Strands produces LED light bars, driving lamps, work lights, position lights, marker lamps, LED bars for truck grilles and roof bars, interior lighting and complete wiring solutions. The range is particularly strong on the commercial vehicle and truck side, where Scandinavian styling has a strong following.

Approval and legality

Much of the range is ECE approved for road use in Europe, which is essential if the lamps are to be fitted legally and pass the Romanian technical inspection. Approval marks are moulded into the housings.

Built for cold and salt

Housings are sealed against water ingress, and the materials and coatings are specified for salt spray, freezing temperatures and thermal cycling. A lamp that works in a Swedish February will not have a problem with a Romanian one.
